Dance Deewane: Mouni Roy and Arjun Bijlani recreate the Naagin magic as they dance to Shah Rukh Khan’s Gerua

Dance Deewane is garnering a lot of praise because of its format and concept. The show encourages dancing talent from across all age groups to participate and provides them with a platform to showcase their talent. At a time when there are several dance reality shows, this concept sets them apart from the rest. Considering this, it is no wonder that a lot of celebs want to be a part of this unique show to ensure that when they promote their film, it reaches a wider group of people. The latest guests on the show are Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy, who are currently promoting their Independence Day release, Gold. While Mouni joins the judges quite early on in the show, Akshay walks in only towards the end and will also be a part of the show’s continuing episodes tomorrow.

However, while there, Mouni made the most of her time. Not only did she enjoy the performances, she also critiqued them and seemed impressed by most of the contestants. However, she didn’t do just that. Mouni also took to the stage. As she made her entry, she came in grooving to a song from her upcoming film. Even then, the host of the show, Arjun Bijlani, was there to accompany her. He matched steps with her and it was indeed quite an entry. However, the real delight came in later.

On a special request by the mothers of one of the participants, Mouni and Arjun took to the stage once more. She wanted them to recreate their chemistry from their Naagin days. While both of them obliged, the speakers blared out the song, Phoolon ka taaron ka…much to the dismay of Arjun. However, soon enough the mistake, or rather the deliberate attempt at humour, was rectified and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale number Gerua was played. The two danced like a dream and we have to say, we were transported to the good ol’ days when the two had paired up for the fantasy fiction show.
